Adult Choir
CLC Choir meets during most of the church season on Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30. During Lent (5 weeks preceeding Easter) we rehearse instead on Wednesday evenings so choir members can attend the Lenten soup suppers and service offered. We sing an anthem most Sundays and do a lot of hymn-singing in our practice in order to inspire confidence in our congregational singing. Twice a year we offer a choir workshop, in order to look through all our music for the upcoming seasons and have fellowship together. We take the summers off and re-convene in September. During the summer, small ensembles and soloists sing and play instruments nearly every Sunday!

Please visit the CLC choir at any time! You are most, most welcome to join our group of about 10-20 singers, all at varying levels of experience. For more information, please email the church at info@coastsidelutheran.org, or contact the choir director, Amy Cowan
at music@coastsidelutheran.org

Mens Ensemble
Men's ensemble convenes twice a year with one Thursday practice and a Sunday anthem. Please plan to come, or encourage the men in your life to come try this out...no obligations or long-term commitments! (Ages 14 and older most welcome!)

Children's Choir
Children's choir also convenes twice a year, for Easter and Christmas musical offerings. In 2007, the children not only presented their own Christmas pageant, but also sang at the Coastside Community Sing event on December 9!

More about the Coastside Community Sing Event:
Each year in early December the churches on the coast get together to share Christmas carols and musical offerings from their various ensembles. We always close with Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from Messiah and end with a wonderful party. In 2007, Coastside Lutheran was the host, and next year it will be hosted by Holy Family Episcopal Church. It is always a special event, whether from the perspective of a singer or audience member!

JAM (Jesus And Me) For children Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Under the guidance of our Christian Education Director, Rebecca Jeffs, who is also a certified teacher, children hear stories, work on crafts, share snacks, discuss what they’ve learned, and play games.  Once a month our Music Director Amy Cowan joins the group to teach music, which the children are occasionally invited to share with the congregation on Sunday morning.
